Many people may think that dogs prefer to be stinky and matted, but this isn’t true. It is better to just have the dog stripped and begin growing their hair over because this will cause no discomfort to your dog.

If you have a short-haired breed, you need to have them groomed by brushing them and bathing as needed. While it is true that long-haired dogs take more time to groom, short-haired dogs also need some amount of grooming with the proper dog grooming supplies, such as the nails, eyes, and ears. Many people take their dogs to groomers, and if you decide on this route, make sure you check out the groomer to ensure they have a good reputation. Unfortunately, some groomers are very impatient with dogs and do not have the patience to work in the field, which is why you need to check them out well before you trust your dog to them. After all, they will be responsible for your dog and your dog cannot tell you if the groomer was nice or mean, you must do your own investigation.
